About the role
Wiemers is looking for a Software Developer to help us build and maintain the digital systems that keep our agency running. You'll work on internal tools, client-facing portals, and integrations with our carrier network. The role suits someone who likes the operational side of insurance tech and wants to ship software that helps real Texas families and businesses.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain internal agency tools (quoting, policy management, reporting)
- Develop and improve client-facing features on our website and quote portal
- Integrate carrier APIs and data feeds into our agency management system
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code
- Collaborate with our marketing and operations teams on feature requirements
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of full-stack web development experience
- Strong skills in JavaScript or TypeScript, plus Python or Ruby
- Experience with REST APIs and database design (Postgres or similar)
- Comfortable working independently in a small team without heavy process
- Experience with Webflow or low-code platforms is a plus, not required
